Music in the Park events bring WC together
Another successful music in the parks is in the books. Thursday night saw a full-house at open mic night. This was the third and final such event for this year.
The celebrations held monthly June, July and August provided a welcome and fun way for neighbors to gather, share a meal and listen to local musicians. Some were even brave enough to share their talents at the open mic. And the First American Bank Plaza was a convenient venue – bringing folks downtown for the musical entertainment and fellowship.
We applaud the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce, the vendors providing food and the many volunteers who made these events tremendously successful gatherings for area residents. They were another opportunity to showcase te incredible community spirit that can be found in Webster City.
With our diverse population, these Music in the Park nights have been great opportunities to meet new people and to welcome folks to our community. Though we may have difference of opinions, disagree about politics or how to accomplish goals, these community gatherings have shown that music truly is a universal language and is something that we can all appreciate and enjoy.
Here’s hoping that we can repeat these evenings of fun for many years to come.
