Bonnie Ogland, 85, Fort Dodge

Bonnie Ogland, 85, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City with Reverend Mike Kroona officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Bonnie Lee Helton, daughter of Ivan and Esther Graham Helton, was born March 8, 1932 in Iowa. She attended Lamoni Schools. She married Glen Norem in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1967. In 1982 she married Carroll Ogland. He preceded her in death in 1990. Bonnie was employed at Prices Shoe Store, Farm Journal and managed and owned numerous rental properties. She also helped at House of Bargains in Webster City.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Betty (Charlie) Flickinger of Fort Dodge, Loraine Hardin of West Des Moines; grandchildren, Madison (Tony) Wattier, Colin Hardin; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Paisley and Lilah; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both husbands; brothers, Lloyd, Orville, Howard and Dean Helton; sisters, Lois Simpson, Jean Hatcher, Betty Norem and Shirley Jessen.

Bonnie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a past president of the PTA, a member of the Moose Family Lodge, Garden Club, Noon Kiwanis and a volunteer at the Hamilton County Public Hospital.

Memorials may be directed to the Food Bank of Iowa in memory of Bonnie.
