Grace McIntyre, 93, Webster City

Grace McIntyre, 93, of Webster City, died Friday, September 8, 2017 at Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Chad Halbach officiating. Burial will follow the services at Graceland Cemetery.

Grace Elizabeth Kennedy, daughter of Dilver and Dora Turpin Kennedy, was born June 18, 1924 in Hamilton County. She received her education from rural Webster City schools. She married Lyle Dudley McIntyre on March 6, 1940 in Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Webster City.

Grace is survived by daughters, Barbara (Gerald) Caruth of Webster City, Joyce Ann Peterson of Webster City; grandchildren, Mark (Mary) Caruth, Brad Caruth, Cheri (Jeremy Newkirk) Caruth; great-grandchildren, Whitney, Cody, Kaci, Kyle and Kaylee; sister, Bonnie Schamel of Allison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; siblings, Mary Beem, Sylvia Olmstead, Ruth Balsley, Dick Kennedy, and a brother-in-infancy, David Kennedy.

Grace was a member of the Church of Christ. She belonged to the Royal Neighbors of America. Grace enjoyed crocheting, knitting and crossword puzzles. She was an avid Lynx wrestling fan. Grace was very family oriented and could always be found lending a helping hand to those in need.
