Robert Tracy, 91, formerly of Webster City
Robert Roland Tracy, age 91, passed away January 23, 2017.
Bob was born April 17, 1926 and was raised in Webster City, Iowa, then moved to Council Bluffs, for the next 48 years and spent his last four years in Indianapolis, Ind. He served in the US Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. He was a volunteer fireman in Webster City and a member of the Elks, Moose, and American Legion. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs. Bob worked for the Illinois Central Railroad, from which he retired. He enjoyed playing golf, pool, and card games.
Bob is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jean; son, Michael Sr. (Lynn), of Beach Park, Ill.; daughter, Thaymer Eppler, of Indianapolis; and a grandson, Michael Jr. Bob will be remembered by his family and friends as a good man, friend, and father.
He donated his body to science through Indiana University School of Medicine, and no service is planned. Arrangements are being handled by Keller Mortuary Services of Lapel, Ind.
