WCFD battles trash fire

Webster City Fire Department responded to a trash fire just West of the Hamilton County Fair Grounds. The call came in around 10:05 a.m. Wednesday that black smoke was coming from the area. WCFD responded and found a large pile on fire. Witnesses noticed two people leaving the area around the same time. WCFD put the fire out. Above, Firefighter Cole Youngdale applies foam to some of the materials to ensure the fire would not reignite. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
