Talent show set for county fair

A Bill Riley Talent Search contest is scheduled for Saturday, July 28 during the 2018 Hamilton County Fair in Webster City. The event will be on the Ed Prince Stage beginning at 4 pm.

Competition includes a Senior division for ages 13 to 21 and a Sprout division for ages 2 to 12. The winner from each age group qualifies to participate in the annual Iowa State Fair Talent Search in Des Moines.

Vocalists, dancers and instrumentalists are encouraged to participate. There are no categories for combos, rock bands or similar musical groups. There is no cost to enter.

Local chairperson is Tennie Carlson, Hamilton County Fair Board member from Stratford.

Entries are due by July 16th and maybe mailed or made in person at the Secretary’s Office on the Hamilton County Fairgrounds.

Contest rules and entry blanks are available at the Secretary’s Office on the Hamilton County Fairgrounds or on the Fair’s website www.hamcoexpo.com.

This year’s Hamilton County Fair is set for July 24-29.
