Easter egg hunt is tomorrow

Fuller Hall is new venue for the annual family event

— Submitted photo The Easter elves at Southfield Wellness Community Assisted Living Apartments have been very busy packing candy into 2,000 plastic eggs. Children will have a chance to hunt for those eggs Saturday morning at Fuller Hall during the annual Webster City Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by Southfield and the City of Webster City. Children and their parents, grandparents or caregivers are invited to the Webster City Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, sponsored by Southfield Wellness Community and the City of Webster City.

This year, the popular family event has a new venue — Fuller Hall Recreation Center. In past years the hunt has been held at West Twin Parks.

Two egg hunts will be held, with the first at 10 a.m. for children ages 1 to 4, and the second at 10:20 a.m. for children 5 to 8 years old. Five lucky eggs will be hidden which will entitle the child to a special prize, according to organizers.

Residents at Southfield have been busy in the past week as they filled 2,000 plastic eggs with candy and treats.

Children will have a chance to meet the Easter Bunny and parents or guardians are invited to bring cameras to snap a photo or two with the Bunny as keepsakes.

Lemonade and cookies will be provided by Southfield Wellness Community.

The event is free and open to all.

Kamrar Egg Hunt
