Students to celebrate Dr. Seuss this week

Northeast Hamilton Elementary School is celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday from Feb. 26 – March 2 with Read Across America.

Each day, the students are asked to dress in celebration the author who wrote many children’s books including Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Hop on Pop and Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You?

The week begins with Pajama Day on Monday. On Tuesday, students are asked to dress up as their favorite food or wear an article of clothing which features their favorite food. On Wednesday, students are asked to dress up as an animal.

Children will brighten up the school Thursday by wearing as many colors as they possibly can.

The week concludes on Friday with Dr. Seuss Day and students are asked to wear either white and red or to dress up as one of their favorite Dr. Seuss characters.
