Friends of Kendall Young Library host Festival of Chocolate Sunday

The Festival of Chocolate at Kendall Young Library was held Sunday afternoon with dozens of entries competing for top honors in four different categories. Seven judges, including Marilyn Middleton, selected the winning entries. Corrie More took first place in the cake and cupcake category, and also claimed runner-up honors. Chandra Hannoman place first in the brownie/bar category, with Mark Gillette taking runner-up honors. Joni Caulfield took home the first place prize for the candy/confection category with Amelia Elegy named runner up.

 Deb Leksell’s cookies took first place in the cookie division and Harlee Draeger was the runner up. The public had a chance to taste-test the entries and other non-judged treats throughout the after. The event was a fundraiser hosted by the Friends of Kendall Young Library.
