The Van Diest Medical Center Auxiliary recently donated eight new state-of-the-art CPR baby mannequins to the hospital. The mannequins are currently being used in CPR instruction classes in which community and staff members learn and apply actual lifesaving skills to infants. Pictured with the mannequins from the left are VDMC staff members Jack Fitzgerald, Vicki Roby, Marianne Free, Chris Wright and Denise Helmick. The Auxiliary supports the hospital in their mission to enhance the lives of people in our community by providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare by assisting with the purchase of much-needed medical equipment through several fundraisers which are held throughout the year. In addition to their financial support, the Auxiliary operates the hospital gift shop on an entirely volunteer basis and provides educational assistance to area students pursuing careers in health-related fields through the Auxiliary Scholarship Fund.
