Community Chorus to present concerts this weekend

Local singers and musicians will present two nights of Christmas cheer and live performances this weekend in Webster City.

The Webster City Community Chorus, under the direction of Andrew Wotherspoon, will present its 31st annual holiday concert, “My Favorite Things” this weekend.

Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 3 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church.

Asbury United Methodist Church is located at 921 Des Moines St., Webster City.

The concert will feature sacred and secular holiday songs, the Asbury Bell Choir, vocal and instrumental soloists.

Piano students of accompanist Jeannie Vande Zande will also perform.

A free-will offering will be taken, which goes toward the purchase of music and other group expenses.
