School board to meet

J-Term update on agenda

The Webster City School Board will be updated on the upcoming J-Term at Webster City High School at their meeting this evening at 6 p.m.

J-Term, in its second year at WCHS, is an outside the lines learning approach designed to give teachers and students more critical thinking and real-world skills.

The two week term, set for the beginning of January, will conclude with presentations that will be open to students and the public.

The board will also observe an update on the Curriculum Adoption Cycle.

A resolution to accept a gift of land from Van Diest Medical Center may be approved this evening.

A number of fundraising requests may be approved by the board.

The board may approve a contract signature resolution.

Also on the agenda are the IASB Convention Review, review of the 100 Series “School District”, and SIAC Committee.

The next school board meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m. at the school administration office board room, 820 Des Moines St.
