A new sculpture has been installed at a downtown Webster City restaurant recently.

The 2nd Street Emporium, owned by Scott and Candy Rector, have a new art piece that greets diners at the rear entrance to their restaurant.

“Dine,” created by local artist Tim Adams, features a large knife, fork and spoon.

Wednesday morning, members of the Arts R Alive in Webster City committee presented the Rectors with a certificate in recognition to their contribution to the local public arts movement.

The Rectors said they worked with Adams on the theme and he created the large piece.

“We thought it would be fun to have a sculpture out back,” said Candy Rector. “We’re very happy with what Tim created.”

The sculpture is the latest of many pieces that businesses and groups have installed around the city.
