Democrats plan annual soup supper
Candidates for governor, Congress scheduled to speak
Four Democratic candidates for Governor; Nate Boulton, Cathy Glasson, Dr. Andy McGuire, and Ross Wilburn will attend the Hamilton County Democratic Soup supper and silent Auction on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Webster City Middle School, 1101 Des Moines St, Webster City.
Beginning at 6:15 on Tuesday, Nov. 7, each candidate will be given a few minutes to summarize their platform. The community is invited to come early or to stay later to talk with candidates one-on-one.
Other speakers expected to attend include Democratic candidates, Paul Dahl, Dr. John Paschen, and J.D. Scholten, all seeking the Democratic nomination for 4th US House District. Tim Winters, seeking the Democratic nomination to run for 48th District for the Iowa House, will also be in attendance.
The evening will include soup, bread, assorted crackers, and desserts. A silent auction of various items will be offered that reflect the interests and talents of local Democrats. Some of the silent auction items may be viewed on the Hamilton County Dems Iowa Facebook page.
