Fuller Hall Health Fair notes large turn out

About 30 vendors, healthcare providers, nutrition and fitness experts were on hand Saturday at the Fuller Hall Health Fair held in the gym of the recreation facility.

Those attending had the opportunity to learn more about health services available in the community, along with nutritional ideas and various ways to improve fitness. Participants had a chance to taste some healthy snacks and have their blood pressure checked.

Individuals and families were also invited to take advantage of the open weight and cardio rooms as well as free swimming during the afternoon and evening.

Kent Harfst, director of recreation and assistant city manager, said he was pleased with the number of people who turned out for the event.

“We had a good signup of vendors this year with lots of variety,” he said.
