Heat doesn’t stop shoppers
The high humidity and temperatures didn’t stop shoppers downtown Saturday. Second Street was filled with people during the Crazy Day Street Fair.
Vendors and retailers from as far away as Des Moines set up for super sales from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Shoppers perused clothing stores, farmer’s market selections with home made goods, and an assortment of retailers selling products at low prices.
The Dance Connection even provided tumbling entertainment for shoppers to enjoy.
Individuals could also purchase cold drinks and food from a selection of food stands.
Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce Director Deb Brown was happy to have a variety of businesses and vendors set up for the event.
“We’re really thrilled that all these different vendors are here and that our retailers downtown are out in the street with crazy sales,” said Brown.
“We’ve got junquers, RVs, farmer’s market, and all kinds of crazy day sales. New businesses and old businesses,” said Brown. “It’s a good day to be downtown.”
