Stanley presents Dexter history

Mulberry Center Church was filled to capacity Saturday afternoon with people curious to hear Rod Stanley, historian and former teacher, present a free history program about Bonnie and Clyde.

“It’s an interesting story. I like to explain the details,” said Stanley.

Stanley spoke about the Barrow Gang’s time in Dexter using multiple first hand accounts from eye witnesses. The most memorable event being the Dexfield Park Shootout.

“I thought the turnout was good,” Stanley said. “It was fun and I had a good time. It was great being in Webster City.”
