A showcase of tradition

Community members lined the streets to enjoy the annual Webster City homecoming parade on Friday afternoon.

The parade, which traveled from Seneca Street to Second Street and then Des Moines Street ending at Webster City Middle School, hosted many local students. That included the 2014 homecoming court along with homecoming king and queen Seth Crouthamel and Harleigh McKee.

Both the high school and middle school football teams and bands were featured. Student floats encouraged onlookers to get excited for the homecoming football game which was held later that evening. For more information on the game, turn to sports on page 7.
