Hensley named Young Professional of Year Award

Jordan Hensley, chief executive officer of Peoples Credit Union, was recognized by the Iowa Credit Union League with the 2016 Young Professional of the Year Award for furthering the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” every day by being a voice for the credit union movement.

This award was presented to Hensley by Jim Niederhauser, Vice President of the Iowa Credit Union League. Each year ICUL honors young leaders and professionals from the state of Iowa that go above and beyond for their credit union and the communities they serve.

“It is an incredible honor and such a great pat on the back,” Hensley said. “I have to thank the league for all their help and for feeling that I had earned this recognition and honor. Peoples Credit Union is such a great place to work and love being a part of such a fantastic team here.”

Hensley has been with Peoples Credit Union for the past nine years and was thanked by ICUL for all his hard work and leadership at Peoples. Since taking over as CEO in 2014, Peoples Credit Union has doubled in asset size and also opened two branch locations in Fort Dodge and Lehigh.

Hensley has stated his goal of continuing to grow Peoples will help their vision of serving more community members in the future.

“It’s our motto, ‘Where People Come First.’ It is how we do business and I love that our goal is to help families in all the communities we serve,”?Hensley said.
