Cally Duncan and Nick Carlson

ANKENY — Cally Duncan and Nick Carlson, both of Ankeny, are engaged.

Parents of the couple are Jim and Wendy Duncan, of Gowrie, and Marty and Christi Carlson, of Gowrie.

A July 28 wedding is planned.

Duncan is a 2013 graduate of Prairie Valley High School. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Iowa State University in elementary education with endorsements in reading and social studies and a minor in learning technology. She teaches fifth grade at Rock Creek Elementary for Ankeny Community Schools.

Carlson also a 2013 graduate of Prairie Valley High School. He earned his bachelor of science degree from Iowa State University in business management. He is a salesman at Royal Flooring in Urbandale.
