Auditions planned for WCCT summer production

‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ to be presented in July

Auditions for Webster City Community Theatre’s summer production, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, will be held Monday, April 22, and Tuesday, April 23, from 6:00-7:30 pm at the theatre, 1001 Willson Avenue. There are roles for adults and students middle school through college. Director Loween Getter will be assisted by Andrew Wotherspoon and Angela Rottering.

The non-musical play by Joseph Robinette is based on C.S. Lewis’ classic tale of the land of Narnia. Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter pass through the wardrobe doors to meet Aslan a great lion, the White Witch and her army, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, Unicorn, Centaur, Tumnus the faun, Fenris Ulf the wolf, Dwarf, Father Christmas and Elf, the White Stag, a variety of forest animals, and wood nymphs.

Volunteers are also being sought for screw positions such as stage manager, set design and construction, costumes, props, makeup, tech, house manager, and usher captain.

Auditions are being held early in order to create costumes. Rehearsals will start May 20 Production dates are July 12-14 and 19-21.

Scripts are now available for 3-day check out at Kendall Young Library.
