Powers to speak at S.A.L.T.

In August, local radio personality, Pat Powers, will mark 40 years as news director at KQWC radio in Webster City.

He will share his experiences at the Thursday, Aug. 2, S.A.L.T meeting at the Kamrar Lions Building. Powers will discuss changes in the radio industry, special news stories, interesting people interviewed and the future of radio. He will also describe the typical daily schedule he has maintained for the past 40 years.

Treats, conversations and free Southfield Wellness Community blood pressure checks will be 9 to 9:30 a.m. Upcoming local events and announcements from law enforcement officials and other county organizations will also take place at 9:30 a.m., followed by the program..
