Women’s Club to host Rose Tea
The annual Rose Tea, sponsored by the Webster City Women’s Club, will be held at the Jane Young House on Sunday, June 10 at 2 p.m.
Seating is limited. Tickets are available for $10 at Kendall Young Library.
Mary Ann Erickson, president, will open the meeting with hospitality, the club collect and The Pledge of Allegiance.
Donna Foster will present the program, “The Old Piano Blues.” The program will feature pianist Rylan Sankot and the following piano students of Jeannie Vande Zande: Carly Appel, Sydney Oswald, Allison Oswald, Marissa Foster and Gianna Borer.
Refreshments will be served bu Connie Gilbert and her committee of Debbie Jordahl, Barb Wollan, Lindsay McCormick Welch, Donna Jansen and JoAnn Katzer.
The Rose Tea is open to the public with advanced ticket reservations. No tickets will be sold at the door due to limited seating.
The funds raised at the Rose Tea are used not only for one of the oldest clubs in Webster City, but also for the continued preservation of a city landmark. The Jane Young House was built by Kane and Kendall Young in 1874.
