Homecoming court named

The Webster City High School homecoming court has been selected. The theme for homecoming week, Oct. 9-13, is Love the Lynx. Several theme days have been planned — including ‘Merica Monday, Touchdown Tuesday, “Hawaiowan” Wednesday, Technicolor Thursday and Fan Friday. Monday, Oct. 9 students will compete floats, decorate the school, paint business windows and practice the class skits. Lynx Games will be played Thursday afternoon and Boom night is planned for Thursday at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The parade will be held Friday, Oct. 13 at 2:30 p.m. The WCHS National Honor Society is requesting all interested participants to sign up for a homecoming parade entry this year. The parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13. Line up will begin at 1:30 and commence at 2:15 p.m. on Seneca Street on the west side of Twin Parks. All parade entries will be contacted with the location of where to line up before the parade. The parade will travel north on Seneca Street, turn west on Second Street, turn south on Des Moines Street and end at the Webster City Middle School. Any individual, nonpolitical group, or business, associated with the high school, is invited to contact the WCHS office to register their parade entry. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. Any questions can be directed to the WCHS office at 832-9210.
